Artistry...

I've always loved vintage jewelry. number is a little girl my sister worked at the art Ringling Brothers art museum in Sarasota Florida and she would always have some beautiful jewelry statement necklaces earrings etc.
chandelier earrings the first time I saw them was do amazing!!  I've always loved the mystique and a gawdiness  of the expansive pieces that were finished jewelry. rhinestones  for fats spilling over the pieces   always too many, but that was the special part, you could go as ridiculous as big as possible because that's what ur was all about, kinda like 80s hair
When I went into buying and selling antiques I really enjoyed the jewelry angle of when we'd get pieces once in awhile in some of the collections.
unfortunately when I started antiques it was kind of being back in the corner with great big bunch of Home goods. I got them from a friend who had a bunch of items left from his mother and grandmother and had nowhere to store them and had to go out of town so I could buy them all from him after that and paying rent to the place I was at I couldn't really afford to invest in the vintage jewelry side of things and I didn't have someone that travel with me to be able to check out the jewelry or someone that could run the store while I was traveling so it kind of went by the wayside until just a few years ago one more pieces started finding their way into my life. however without the time you should probably resell them and have them all checked I wasn't quite sure what to do with them and that's when I started getting chunks of broken pieces and started thinking what in the world would I do with these I've seen people make mirrors with pieces of broken jewelry on it which are lovely I've done some of those with jewelry and mosaics quite lovely and I've seen people make designs like Christmas trees and different shapes on canvas which are also beautiful and I started messing around with using them kind of like mosaics with flower pots and small outside furniture. that's when it came to me that the most beautiful thing that I loved in  my garden was suncatchers and that was the right kind of real prisms . I didn't see many made with the real glass and real crystals that I believe  only the shine that's so amazing. So started having dreams of adding the two things  together and when I came up with was a lot of fun and a lot of beautiful pieces .
One thing I love about that is that no piece will ever be alike because no pieces of jewelry are same and I also love that I can sit down with someone and they can bring in family jewelry there is that are broken pieces that are costume jewelry and not worth very much except for the memories and I can work with them incorporate them into something new that they can pass on as a generation or hang in their garden or at work that are beautiful sustainable pieces I think that I found my calling I hope that you enjoy what you see here and as always if you have any questions or concerns just reach out I'm available every single day and Love to talk to my would be clients and those are just interested in my work.
